Absolutely Positive is currently a 30-minute short film (soon to be shown at the NC Gay & Lesbian Film Festival in Durham in August) about four individuals who get tested for HIV. The film shows why they get tested, the thoughts that run through their minds as they're waiting for their results, as well as a brief look into how they decide to live their lives after finding out what their results are.
As we prepare for the feature, we want to make sure the film comes across as honest and relatable as possible for the audience as the short film did; therefore, we'd love to interview and incorporate the stories of those from the community--personal backgrounds, how it was contracted, the possible fear of the testing process, and the adjustment to living as a positive individual in society. All interviews, information obtained, as well as identities will be kept strictly confidential. Forms will be signed and provided to ensure complete privacy prior to conducting interviews.
